I love all things Grandma
Coming up with an idea of what to illustrate is always the most difficult part of the process for me. I wanted to create an illustration that had lots of character. I also wanted to add a bit of souther charm in the mix as well.
The Process.
I hand illustrated all of the plates individually and then uploaded them into illustrator on top of my backdrop to play with the layout of the China. The illustration felt lackluster, so I added a michevious cat causing havoc in Granny’s China collection. I like the addition of the cat, it really adds to the grandma vibe of the final version.
